Overground Tattoo is a by appointment tattoo studio located in El Cajon, San Diego. We currently have five artists and are in the process of expanding into the suite next to us (this will allow five more stations to be added). The artists make their own schedules, we do require a minimum of four days a week. We would prefer to hire someone with a strong clientele, but will also consider someone from out of town who is willing to build their clientele taking walk-ins, calls, emails, etc.if this is the case you must be well rounded as styles will vary.
Requirements:
- We are looking for a creative, not just a tattooer. Someone that is always striving to grow as an artist and an all around human.
- Strong portfolio.
- Must be extremely motivated. Having the ability to make your own schedule isn’t for everyone as we’ve seen over the years, some people need structure and that’s totally fine…just not here.
- Shop experience…a history of past employers is a plus.
- Stable transportation.
- Friendly attitude/ customer service (this is huge). We treat our clients like family and will always create the safest space possible for them….while still having fun of course. We will not tolerate any attitude or rudeness towards clients or fellow artists.
- Must prioritize both personal hygiene and overall cleanliness of your surroundings. Our shop stands out for its exceptional cleanliness and sterile environment; We need someone that is going to help maintain this reputation.
- No hard drugs. Please don’t waste our time or yours.
