Are you a dependable maintenance professional with excellent customer service skills and the flexibility to work across multiple apartment communities? We're hiring a full-time roving Maintenance Technician to support several of our residential properties with repairs, turnovers, and on-call needs. This position will primarily work in north county San Diego.
As a Roving Maintenance Technician, you’ll travel between properties in our portfolio, assisting onsite teams with everything from routine maintenance and emergency repairs to apartment turnovers and preventative upkeep. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, a self-starting attitude, and a passion for providing residents with great service and well-maintained homes.
How you will contribute:
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as general repairs, plumbing, electrical work, appliance repairs, and carpentry.
Conduct regular inspections of grounds, buildings, and equipment to identify and address issues proactively.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and management, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
Assist in the turnover of apartments, including painting and repair, to ensure units are ready for new residents.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Participate in on-call emergency maintenance rotations as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Who you are and what you will need:
Driver’s License and operating vehicle with current insurance and registration
Hand tools
Fast and thorough work with ability to communicate internally and externally
Proficient in plumbing, light electrical, patching and painting. Appliance and HVAC a plus
AppFolio experience preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Problem solver—Get it done attitude
Self-driven team player with a positive attitude
Compensation: $25 per hour, depending on experience and trade knowledge. Health benefits, paid time off and other benefits. Work vehicle provided, when available, or monthly auto allowance.
