Our company is seeking an experienced and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. We strive to provide the highest quality services to our clients, teamwork and a commitment to training and developing all our employees.
The ideal candidate must possess the following skills:
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, technical manuals.
- Ability to communicate with your supervisor regarding job progress, issues, scope, and changes.
- Ability to conduct professional communication with on-site contact.
- Pulling/terminating CAT 5/6 cable in commercial buildings and office suites (pre-existing and new construction)
- Basic code knowledge for properly suspending cabling throughout ceilings.
- Follow all OSHA and Company Safety guidelines.
- Splitting, splicing, and terminating connections.
- Testing units and equipment, troubleshooting issues, testing connections, and labeling.
- Installing security camera systems.
- Installation of wireless access points (WAPS).
- Installation of data rings in existing walls.
- Installation of data racks and cable trays.
- Mounting monitors/TV’s
- Installing printers/fax/scanners.
- Basic understanding of Windows and Windows Office Software.
- Take initiative and solve problems on the job site.
Requirements:
- Ability to work from heights on ladders, scissor and boom lifts.
- Clean DMV record/Valid Driver’s License
- Must be dependable (open availability is helpful)
- Must own basic hand tools and electric power tools.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and independently.
- Must be able to lift and carry, push and/or pull up to 50-pounds.
- Reliable transportation.
