The Landscape Construction Foreman is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks in order to manage the timely completion of landscape construction projects. The Landscape Construction Foreman will be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specified job tasks in a professional and safe manner. A MINIMUM OF 4 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE LANDSCAPE FIELD IS REQUIRED.
Job Duties: Perform job duties as described below, in a professional and safe manner.
-Prepare job sites prior to and during construction.
-Operate various tools and equipment, including skid steer, excavator, chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
-Construct walkways (pavers, stepping stones, etc.), fences, decks, raised garden beds, etc.
-Strong drainage and irrigation knowledge required.
-Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning daily.
-Dig trenches for utilities.
-Perform land clearing activities.
-Plant garden beds, slopes, and lawns.
-Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects.
-Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and hand lifting and carrying.
-Assist crew members with job-related tasks.
-Read and interpret 2D plans and specifications to perform work activities.
-Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations.
-Follow instructions from managers.
-Inspect all work for quality to eliminate the need for return visits and/or re-work due to quality or customer satisfaction issues.
-Comply with all company policies and regulations.
-Be on time everyday.
Requirements:
-Minimum of 4 years of experience in grading, drainage, low-voltage lighting, irrigation, hardscape, carpentry, and planting.
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-California driver’s license
-Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
-Must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs, and complete daily timesheet.
-Time management skills
-Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete various landscape construction practices.
-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

-Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 pounds or more.

-Work outdoors in various conditions including heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold.

-Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body.
-Be able to work outdoors in various positions including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, walking, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time.
-Vehicles, trailers, and machines are to be cleaned and kept safe by everyone who uses them.
-Be respectful of noise and debris on each job site.
-Be safe and mindful at all times when using company vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
