The job is to assist with all aspects of fabrication on the shop floor. Tasks include but not limited to:
Cutting metal parts
Laying out cutting lines
Fitting fabricated steel items
Using measuring tools to inspect work
Maintaining tools and equipment
Maintaining a safe workplace
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Position requires physical labor – must be able to lift (up to 100 pounds), pull, push, and bend.
Some skills and abilities that a junior steel fabricator may need include:
Basic math and reading skills
Valid driver's license
Experience fitting and welding steel
High school diploma or GED certificate
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
