Classic Audio Repair is looking for a Journeyman-Level serviceTechnician.
Candidates will have a proper understanding of schematics, be able to identify components, etc.
Excellent soldering skills required.
Understanding of electrical, transistor, and tube theory will be necessary in troubleshooting. Field-effect transistor knowledge a plus.
Be able to quickly troubleshoot electronic failures in a variety of circuit configurations,
Knowledge of how to properly use oscilloscopes, function generators, regulated power supplies and analyzers.
Familiarity with vintage audio components a big plus. Being able to identify a machine with a make & model
Mechanical knowledge a big plus. Candidates should be able to fully disassemble, clean and re-lubricate things like turntables, cassette decks, etc.
Knowledge of basic mechanical source and load problems that may prevent smooth operation of equipment
Min 2 years experience in electronics troubleshooting and repair preferred.
Must be able to work min 40 hour week.
Pay will depend on experience. Ranging from $20-$35
