IT Technician

Location: San Diego, CA

Hours: Monday to Friday

Compensation: $31.00 - $36.00 per hour. Position is eligible for overtime.

Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Technician to join our team and take charge of responding to tickets and supporting and implementation processes for our company's IT systems and department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support and project management. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Ticket Response and Support:

As a primary responder to tickets submitted by end-users, respond promptly to IT support tickets and requests

Troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.

Provide guidance and assistance to users in utilizing IT resources effectively.

Efficiency and Efficacy Standards:

Establish efficiency and efficacy standards for IT operations.

Identify areas for improvement in the IT infrastructure and provide recommendations for enhancements.

Security Oversight:

Ensure the security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.

Implement and enforce security protocols and measures to safeguard sensitive data.

Vendor Management:

Develop and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.

Coordinate vendor activities and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.

Project Management:

Manage assigned IT projects from initiation to completion.

Ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of the project.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

Other Duties:

Perform other related duties as assigned by the IT management team.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in IT support, some level of system administration, or related roles.

Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, and security principles.

Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and providing user support.

Experience with project management methodologies and tools.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
