Helpdesk: Remote IT Support some on-site required

Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Jr. Systems/Network Admin to support our growing IT/MSP company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows and (ideally) some Macintosh OS, basic/fundamental troubleshooting capability as well as hardware config. ABOVE ALL, Excellent customer service skills.

This position is primarily remote support, you can work from home. 25% of the time, you may be required to visit a client site/go to the location anywhere throughout San Diego. The successful candidate must have a reliable mode of transportation with a clean driving record and proof of insurance. Mileage will be reimbursed.

IF YOU ARE:

-Excellent on the telephone

-Know how to handle difficult situations or clients with patience.

-Have exceptional email/communication skills

-Have at least 2 years of experience providing technical support to clients via telephone and email AND in person.

KNOW HOW TO

-Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10 and 11, macOS

-TShoot printing issues

-TShoot video cards, NICs, hard drives, and other components.

-Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Microsoft 365 desktop and cloud applications.

-Manage printers and resolve printing-related issues.

-Document technical processes and procedures.

-Effectively communicate complex IT issues in a non-technical jargon.

-Propose solutions in a constructive manner

-Work independently AND as part of a team to resolve technical issues.

-Stay up-to-date with technology developments and practices.

- Excellent CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS

- 2+ years on job professional experience in an office environment

- Strong understanding of cloud and web-based services, TCP/IP configuration, and troubleshooting.

- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, hardware configuration, and troubleshooting-

- Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory is a plus.

- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently and take initiative.

- Willingness to learn and think outside of the box.

- Proven ability to consistently demonstrate punctuality.

- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
