Job Title: Sales Manager – Solar Door Knocking Team

Location: San Diego

Job Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Director of Sales

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead our Solar Door Knocking Team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling solar solutions, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), loans, and cash deals. This role demands a strong work ethic, the ability to work under pressure, and a talent for turning a "yes" into a "no." The Sales Manager will be responsible for training and motivating a team of door-to-door sales representatives, utilizing canvassing tools to effectively target different homeowners, and most importantly, converting appointments into successful deals.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

Lead, train, and mentor a team of door-to-door solar sales representatives.

Foster a motivated and high-performing team environment.

Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to improve sales techniques and product knowledge.

Sales Execution:

Drive the team to meet and exceed sales targets for solar PPAs, loans, and cash deals.

Implement effective sales strategies and processes to convert appointments into deals.

Utilize canvassing tools and strategies to target various homeowners effectively.

Customer Engagement:

Engage with homeowners to educate them on the benefits of solar energy and the different financing options available.

Address and overcome customer objections to close sales.

Ensure a positive customer experience from initial contact through to post-installation follow-up.

Performance Management:

Monitor and report on team performance, providing feedback and coaching as necessary.

Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Implement corrective actions to address performance issues and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Experience:

3-5 years of experience in selling solar solutions, including PPAs, loans, and cash deals.

Proven experience in door-to-door sales and canvassing neighborhoods.

Experience with using canvassing tools and strategies to target homeowners.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to turn a "yes" into a "no."

Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales tracking tools.

Work Ethic:

Highly motivated and self-driven with a strong work ethic.

Ability to maintain a positive attitude and motivate a team under challenging conditions.
