We have an immediate opening for a Researcher with strong experience with ELISA assays to work for an exciting new start-up diagnostics company in San Diego.
This is a temporary/contract position to start so only local candidates can be considered at this time - relocation and interviewing expenses cannot be provided.
In this role you will be responsible for executing and validation of ELISA assays for use in development and production of antibody-based diagnostics.
This is a small company so candidates must not be opposed to working independently without the aid of a lab assistant.
Requirements:
Ability to conduct and validate new, novel ELISA assays.
Screen reagents.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
Identify problems, communicate them to the team, and develop solutions.
Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, or related.
2 - 5 years of experience in life science research.
Experience in ELISA development and/or validation and related problem solving.
Experience with protein purification techniques a plus.
Experience in working with biological specimens.
Great attention to detail.
Ability to analyze data and plan for next steps.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, use of statistical analysis software and report writing.
Strong familiarity with equipment maintenance.
Knowledge of protein expression platform is a plus.
Knowledge of statistical tools is a plus.
