GIMDx Inc. is a biotechnology company focused on developing, commercializing and distributing didagnostic technologies and products. Our products for clinical, immunological and molecular testing include point-of-care platforms for doctors’ offices and rural clinics as well as high-throughput, automated platforms for centralized, clinical laboratory settings. We are looking for an upbeat, self-motivated individual to join our team in GIMDx to develop IVD products. You will be the lead scientist responsible for the design and development of antibody-based assays with immunohistochemistry (IHC) and flow cytometry applications. Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement immunohistochemistry (IHC) and flow cytometric assays for IVD applications.

Advance applications and associated assay protocols for reagent products

Works in collaboration with pathologists to deliver the products in clinical studies.

Establish protocols, SOPs and product specifications for various IVD reagents and kits.

Develop QC methods and standards.

Write process and technical documents and transfer to R&D junior scientists, manufacturing and QC.

Mentor junior scientists and solve a broad range of scientific problems of varying scope and complexity.

Communicate scientific results and progress updates in both written format and orally with various internal teams and external collaborators.

Write or edit technical documents in English for regulatory certification and compliance.

Other relates duties as assigned.

Qualifications

In order to fulfill the duties and responsibilities, the successful candidate should have a minimum of the following basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:

Substantial hands-on experience in a variety of pathology-based methodologies including IHC, multiplex IHC, immunofluorescence imaging, tissue sectioning and histology procedures.

Strong background in immunoassay development, such as flow cytometric analysis, ELISA, chemiluminescent immunoassay.

Proficient in designing, optimizing and analyzing for assay development.

Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment within a global organization.

Demonstrated technical writing and oral communication skills.

Proven ability to drive projects forward effectively.

Education and Experience

Successful candidates with qualifications necessary for this position will typically have the following background:

Bachelor’s degree with 5-year experience, or master’s degree of 3-year pathology and/or immunology experience, or PhD with 0-2-year experience.

Multi-color antibody panels for basic or clinical research.

Knowledge and experiences in cancer research, expertise in a beads-based immunoassay is a plus.

IVD reagent development experience in industry is desirable.

Experience with laboratory equipment and automation a plus

Experience with design control and regulatory submissions a plus

Clinical experience a plus
