Salary Range: $65000 and above
We are in search of a motivated and highly skilled Scientist to become an integral part of our innovative laboratory team. This position is full-time, requiring a commitment to a 40-hour workweek; prefer 4 work days from Monday to Friday and one day Saturday or Sunday. The role offers competitive pay, which will be tailored based on the candidate's experience and expertise.
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform experiments strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and detailed experimental plans.
- Collect and analyze experimental data effectively, leading to thorough laboratory reports.
- Experience or knowledge in ELIZA, qPCR, and is seen as an asset.
- Experience or familiarity with clinical samples is greatly valued.
- Contribute to essential laboratory functions, including inventory organization, workspace cleanliness and orderliness.
- Adhere to rigorous laboratory safety standards, including proper use of personal protection equipment, and correct use of safety enclosures and laboratory machinery.
- Provide logistical support to our team through document management, handling shipments and deliveries of materials, and ensuring clear communication among team members.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or master degree in a related field, with 2-4 years experience in a laboratory environment is preferred.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to undertake laboratory tasks for prolonged periods.
- Organized, detail-oriented, able to meet strict deadlines, and adaptable to changing project priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
