Job Duties: Experience as a Purchasing Analyst in supporting procurement operations by identifying cost savings by analyzing purchasing data, monitoring supplier inventory, and identifying cost savings opportunities and process improvements.
This role is essential to ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of food products, packaging, and supplies that support the company’s distribution operations.
Analyze trends, supplier performance, and pricing data to identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
Assist supply chain manager with demand forecasting, inventory planning, and supplier negotiations.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, information sheets, and finalized purchase orders within the company’s ERP/procurement system.
Support sourcing initiatives by researching market trends, identifying potential suppliers, and preparing bid analyses.
Monitor supplier compliance with quality, food safety, and service-level standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, logistics, finance, quality assurance, and sales) to ensure product availability
Generate and collaborate with the supply chain manager weekly and monthly procurement reports to track internal KPIs and supplier performance metrics.
Assist in the development and standardization of procurement processes and best practices.
Maintain communication between departments on issues and solutions.
Create relationships with suppliers and vendors and maintain solid communication within them.

Qualifications being sought include:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement analytics, or supply chain (experience in food distribution or food service a plus).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and data visualization tools.
Knowledge of procurement principles, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills, written and verbal; advanced MS office suite skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
Detail-oriented with strong data analysis capabilities.
Collaborative team player with effective interpersonal skills.
Results-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
Must be able to operate personal vehicle and have a clean driving record.
