Job Responsibilities:
Handle incoming shipments
Respond to customer shipping/order status inquires
Perform verification of purchased products and enter order receipts into computer system
Perform quality assurance inspections when appropriate
Place received material, after segregating backorders, into proper warehouse storage locations. When appropriate, relocate and consolidate material and notify management of new bon/table locations
Pull, pack, weigh and label materials for shipment (including assemble & hold orders)
Prepare shipping documents via FedEx, UPS or USPS
Prepare bills of lading and express receipts
Assist in loading the trucks
Enter data such as addresses, quantities, and weights to complete the paperwork necessary for shipment
Maintain database of shipment data to ensure that customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to customer service and finance or other associated departments as required
Notify supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions
Assemble parts and hardware kits to be packaged for inventory/shipment
Clean warehouse and trucking/parking area
Ensure product handling and delivery practices meet customer expectations
Keep records of shipments and file packing slips per company practices
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Knowledge of basic computer operations
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Mechanically inclined a big plus
Must be able to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
Forklift certified preferred (we will teach)
Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour DOE
