Job description
Summit Erosion Control is seeking a full time QSP to join our San Diego County team. The ideal candidate will possess an active QSP certification and have the ability to perform and document storm water compliance inspections and storm water sampling on multiple building sites in San Diego County. Must be proficient in local storm water compliance regulations, have the ability to tour multiple sites daily, and draft detailed inspection reports.
Job Requirements:
Active QSP Certification.
CESSWI or CISEC Certification
Working knowledge of California Construction General Permit (CGP) and local storm water regulations.
Knowledge of SMARTS and the ability to help navigate clients through documentation certification.
Perform weekly, quarterly and rain event storm water inspections on multiple construction sites across San Diego County.
Write technically complete, organized, and comprehensive technical reports.
Professional communication (written and oral) for internal and external customers required.
Knowledge and field experience with residential and commercial construction projects.
Collect, analyze, and report on storm water samples.
Have the ability to walk construction sites across difficult terrain in inclement weather.
Attend internal and external project meetings to provide expertise and consultation advice related to storm water compliance.
Must be a self-starter, with the ability to carry out day to day duties without direct supervision.
A company vehicle and fuel will be provided. Must have a valid CA driver’s license and be accepted by company insurance.
