Construction Company accepting applications for a full-time construction Project Accountant to join our team immediately. As a Project Accountant, you will be managing and overseeing construction project costs from start to finish for two separate divisions of our company. If you are a detail-oriented, highly reliable, flexible team player with a background in accounting and a passion for learning new things, we want to hear from you.
Hours: Monday thru Friday from 7:30m to 3:30pm.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Manage and oversee all construction projects from start to finish (Create job folders, job numbers, budgets, SOV, issue certificates of insurance, business licenses, monthly billings, Supply Pro, warranty letters and job costing).
Create job folders, job numbers and weekly billings for both divisions of the company.
Accounts Payable – enter all invoices for both divisions of the company, log checks into cash register, assemble backup to check stubs, mail all checks and file away backup.
Accounts Receivable – all outstanding invoices are to be collected on via email or phone for both divisions of the company weekly.
Answer office phones and schedule sales appointments for potential customers as calls come in.
Manage and oversee weekly Safety Tailgate meetings and tracking of field safety training.
Manage and oversee all jobsite defective lawsuits.
Create weekly timecard summary for the company payroll.
Requirements And Skills:
3+ years accounting experience in construction
Strong knowledge of construction accounting, including SOV billings, progress releases
Ability to understand complex billing and job costing concepts.
Microsoft Office: Excel, Word
Accubuild, SupplyPro and Textura

Starting Salary: $54k to $60k depending on experience
