House Manager

We are looking for someone who lives in North County 5-10 minutes from Encinitas to make it an easy win/win for time for everyone.

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented person to assist in maintaining order in the house.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of household tasks to ensure a comfortable and well-organized living environment.

I imagine the initial role will be 8-15 hours a week to start, but could grow.

Key Responsibilities:

General Tidying and Cleaning: Regularly tidy up the house, including organizing living spaces and cleaning up the kitchen. This involves washing dishes, wiping down surfaces, and ensuring the home is neat and presentable at all times.

(Professional Cleaners come twice a month to do a deep cleaning).

-Laundry and Putting Away of Clothes

-Building simple things with easy instructions.

Meal Preparation: Assist with light meal preparation, ensuring that meals are healthy and prepared according to preferences. (nothing complicated). Coordination with the personal assistant is required to ensure the fridge and pantry are well-stocked with necessary ingredients and supplies.

-Ordering on Amazon Groceries, Instacart, Etc… to have everything in stock

Package Management: Responsible for receiving packages, opening and inspecting contents for damage, breaking down boxes, and managing trash and recycling needs. This task requires staying organized and ensuring that the package area remains tidy and clutter-free.

-Handling returns, etc…

-Dropping off returns (ensuring they are done timely)

Airbnb Coordination: Work closely with cleaners designated for Airbnb turnover to ensure the house is in perfect condition for guests. This includes double-checking that all areas are clean, amenities are replenished, and the space meets our high standards for hospitality.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience in housekeeping or a similar role.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Flexibility to handle various tasks as needed.

Familiarity with basic cooking and meal preparation.

A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and order.

Work Environment and Conditions:

This role will most likely be 3 days a week in person at the house in Cardiff by the Sea.

Physical ability to perform cleaning and organizational tasks, including lifting and moving objects as required.
