JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under general direction, coordinate all Copy Center activities including all aspects of production, customer service, equipment maintenance, and perform related work as required.
SCOPE:
The Copy Center Specialist ensures the timely and accurate completion of client requests for printed materials, fulfills work orders while maximizing production output, determines equipment maintenance/repair schedules, maintains supply inventory, and resolves customer service concerns.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Responsible for copying, printing, scanning, cutting, binding, laminating, and packaging orders
-Serves as the Copy Center liaison at the front counter, over the phone or via email
-Collaborate with clients on design, color matching, and material selection to meet clients print needs
-Preflight files to identify and fix potential issues (i.e. missing fonts, low-res images, overset text, etc.)
-Prioritize work assignments and coordinate workflow to meet client deadlines
-Serve as the key operator of high-volume Copy Center equipment
-Concisely document order details to ensure accurate billing
-Route completed work orders for delivery or client pick up
-Maintain client files on a private server for ease of future order processing
-Perform routine equipment maintenance, identify issues and schedule repair services
-Manage inventory levels of departmental supplies to minimize downtime
-Ensure compliance with copyright laws and city policies regarding the reproduction of materials
-Other duties as assigned

-Handle a high volume of email correspondence as well as daily face to face customer interaction
-Multi-task and toggle between client communication and work production
-Prioritize workload based on customer deadlines and expectations

-Stand for long periods, walk, bend, kneel, reach, stoop, and routinely lift moderately heavy objects
-Provide input on changes in departmental policies, procedures, pricing, and equipment acquisition
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
-Minimum of 1 year in a Copy Center role
-Minimum of 2 years in a customer service position
-Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Fiery Command WorkStation
-Working knowledge of graphic design, page layout, color matching, and image editing
-Operation and maintenance of high-volume Xerox copiers and bindery equipment
-Knowledge of Ink, paper stock, binding, and other related materials
