Job summary:
We are seeking a multi-skilled, self-motivated individual with prior technical background in industrial machinery and automation equipment. This highly skilled Machine Technician will work in the installation, modification, calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of automation equipment including, electrical, pneumatic systems, and extruder machines. The work is primarily characterized by responsibility for the facility automation equipment, however other responsibilities for electrical power systems, pneumatic and mechanical assignments may be included with this work.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Managing preventative, predictive, and scheduled maintenance, or repair of automation equipment and others
Troubleshooting equipment when necessary
Reading and reviewing instructional manuals, and special procedures, as needed, from files or other sources
Making any additional sketches, diagrams, etc. as necessary
Documenting all repairs and keeping track of machine parts used for repair
Assuring proper mechanical and electrical functioning of all automation equipment
Maintaining proficiency in automation and control systems
Communicating effectively with management, engineers, mechanics, and equipment operators
Demonstrating equipment functions and features to machine operator
Demonstrated skills to complete work independently with minimal supervision.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
A demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and organize work
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
An associate degree in a technical field is preferred
Minimum of 3+ years of experience working as a Machine Technician (experience in the plastic industry is a plus)
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under stressful situations
Must be able to perform basic math computations
Ability to work closely with the others in the company, guiding them to follow best practices in terms of
troubleshooting & maintenance
Ability to read and translate the information, schematic wiring, and Ladder diagrams
Should understand HMI, VSD’s, servos motors, sensors, instrumentation, and industrial control systems, including
advanced programming techniques and configurations
Must have the ability to learn new technologies
Ability to work on a flexible schedule
Bilingual is a plus

Required to lift weights (more than 25 pounds).
Exposure to loud noise.

Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Current state of California Driver’s License.
Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
Pay rate is starting at $27.00 to $30.00.
