RMA Test Technician

Leading high tech sports technology device manufacturer has an immediate need for an RMA Technician to join their team.

This position will report to the RMA lead and is responsible for diagnosing, documenting, and repairing customer returned goods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the job include:

Perform complex electro-mechanical assembly following manufacturing procedures.

Perform surface mount or through-hole soldering, sub-assembly and unit assembly and ensures that quality standards are met.

Utilize specialized test equipment to perform acceptance testing on completed sub-assemblies.

Test and calibrate parts and product specifications.

Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.

Identify units that fail tests and repair as necessary.

Trouble-shoot customer’s issues, and repair or replace the device back to customers in a timely manner.

Update Firmware and perform product burn-in on all products when needed.

Perform testing, repairing, and refurbishing of all products.

Coordinate and collaborate return processes with Tech Support

Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the electronics field.

Develop and maintain certification across all operations within a work area.

Work effectively with other team members to ensure that quality and delivery expectations are met.

Follow policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Responsible for cleanliness and organization of area.

Follow all company Safety and ESD Program requirements

Job description is not all-inclusive. Other responsibilities may be added to or deleted from each position to improve effectiveness and productivity as necessary.

The candidate must be savvy with PC Windows and should have, as a minimum, a high school diploma, several years of experience in assembling electrical and/or mechanical equipment, skilled at using power tools, hand tools and basic electronic equipment such as meters, scopes, and soldering iron, combined with the ability to read and follow assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, sketches, schematics, and handwritten instructions. The ability to lift 50 lbs., combined with good eye hand coordination.

Hours are 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday with overtime as needed
