Quality Inspection Technician, Lead

Leader in hardware-based encrypted external storage products seeks an experienced Quality Inspection Technician, Lead to join their team!

This role will have a significant impact on business by leading and/or assisting with ongoing quality and first article inspections, participating in audits, and implementing corrective actions. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities will be instrumental in identifying and resolving quality issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform IQC inspections of incoming materials and document reviews to ensure adherence to product specifications at both Company and supplier levels.

- Ensure proper record keeping for all incoming production material inspections, qualifications, and approvals are maintained.

- Ensure materials are stored in a timely fashion to support continuous supply chain and production management.

- Collaborate with Company's Quality Manager in support of quality and continuous improvement goals.

- Respond to internal customer issues as needed. Ensure proper processing of quality issues, including CAR and ECR.

- Review quality records and return trends to improve overall product quality and reduce defective shipments, both inbound and outbound.

- Participate in new product and supplier qualification as they relate to quality and test requirements.

- Assist with potential new product material evaluations and first article inspections.

- Generate and maintain documentation of incoming and production KPIs (yields, scrap, defects, throughput, etc.)

- Interface with suppliers as needed to improve quality related issues.

Other duties as assigned by Company management.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

- An associate degree in Electronics Technology or other technical discipline, or equivalent level of experience is - necessary.

- Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or ISO 9001 experience

- Electronics industry experience

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong technical skill in quality inspection and manufacturing processes

- Experience collaborating with a team of technicians and engineers

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities

- Attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Comprehension of technical documents (part specification and/or work instructions)

- MRP or ERP software (eg. Quickbooks, SAP, Oracle)

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
