Outstanding manufacturer seeks candidate to be responsible for assembling, packing, and labeling products accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all packaging specifications and quality control standards are met. This role plays a key part in the timely preparation and shipment of goods, requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Product/Packaging Assembly: Assemble packaging materials and products in accordance with detailed instructions and specifications.
-Quality Control: Inspect products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards before packaging.
-Packaging: Pack, wrap, seal, and label products appropriately for shipment or storage.
-Material Handling: Handle and organize packaging materials such as boxes, bags, and containers, ensuring materials are properly stocked.
-Operating Equipment: Operate basic packaging machinery and tools safely and efficiently, such as tape dispensers, labelling machines, and shrink-wrap machines.
- Inventory Management: Monitor packaging supplies and report low stock levels to the Warehouse Supervisor or Purchasing Manager.
-Documentation: Maintain accurate records of packaged items, including counts, types, and condition.
-Safety & Cleanliness: Adhere to company safety guidelines and keep the work area clean and organized to prevent accidents.
-Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to meet daily production/shipping targets.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
-High school diploma or GED
-Previous experience in packaging, assembly, or a warehouse environment is preferred but not required.
-Longevity in prior employment positions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee will frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and
occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
Days and hours are Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM TO 3:00 PM.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
