Well established natural stone and solid surface manufacturing company is looking for a mechanic specializing on large machinery and mechanical equipment to join our growing team. The successful candidate will report to the Facilities Manager, providing skilled mechanic type functions, ensuring proper and efficient maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment. Applicants must have experience of same or related industry and MUST speak English. Bilingual is a plus.
Essential Duties:
Performs diagnostic, replacement, and repairs for ALL machinery & equipment.
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment, machinery.
Operate machinery and equipment.
Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories.
Perform company-wide inspections of machinery as required.
Maintain service logs in compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Performs other facility’s maintenance duties as instructed.
Qualifications: Must be able to read and follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturing instructions, and engineering specifications.
Mechanical aptitude.
Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Able to independently evaluate conditions against standard and perform tasks necessary to bring areas to standard.
Able to read and write English.
Valid driver license.
Requirements: Two (2) years of experience in large machinery mechanical/maintenance crafts (including machinist or facility maintenance/construction) or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.
Ability to understand and apply verbal & written work safety-related instructions and procedures given in English.
Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards.
Ability to effectively communicate and work closely with other maintenance team members.
Experience with ACAD or similar programs is a PLUS
