Material Handler Full Time Day Position

Material Handler Full Time Position-06:00 to 2:30 p.m.

Material Handler is responsible for the flow, organization, and cleanliness of material and Material Handler departments throughout the facility.

Essential Job Functions

1. Package, load, and move products throughout the shop

2. Receives and unpacks materials and supplies

3. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate inspection qualifications

4. Assist with many departments in the shop, cleaning, organizing, etc.

5. Accurately completes traveler paperwork and computer data entry in company’ production and planning software enterprise system to reflect work completed

6. Relies on daily supervisor instruction

7. Maintain equipment in proper working order, perform routine calibration, and maintenance as required

8. Utilize the company’s Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP), Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO9001:2008 rules and procedures as they apply to their role in safety and quality

Minimum Education and Experience Requirement

1. High School Diploma or equivalent

2. 1-3 years of experience in the field and/or related area

Required

1. Must be able to work and perform in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, respiratory equipment, steel toed shoes and/or other appropriate protective clothing

2. Work well with others with strong teamwork skills

3. Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead frequently

4. Stand and/or walk for at least 8 hours per day

5. Safely lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs., frequently

6. Work in an outdoor/indoor (non-air conditioned) industrial shop environment

7. Obtain a license to operate overhead cranes (2.5 and/or 5 ton)

8. Obtain a license to operate forklift (6000#, and/or 15000#, and/or 25000#)

9. Safely utilize hand tools, drills, taps, rivet gun, saws-all, pneumatic nailer, etc.

10. Maintain equipment in good running condition. Perform all routine calibration and maintenance as required

11. Competent in basic shop math

12. Read, write, and understand English

Must be able to pass a complete drug screening and in-depth background check at application time
