We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Masker to join our team at our metal finishing and plating facility. The Masker is responsible for preparing parts for chemical processing by applying masking materials (tape, plugs, lacquer, etc.) to protect critical areas from plating or coating. This is a hands-on position that requires precision, focus, and the ability to work with a variety of part sizes and shapes.
Responsibilities:
Apply masking materials to parts per customer drawings and internal procedures
Use tools such as X-Acto knives, rulers, calipers, and tape dispensers
Inspect masked parts to ensure quality and accuracy
Remove masking materials after processing and perform touch-up as needed
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding part issues or discrepancies
Qualifications:
High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Ability to read and interpret basic drawings or work instructions
Must be dependable and punctual
Previous masking or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required – we will train the right candidate
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday. 7:00am-3:30pm Overtime may be available.
Responsibilities:
Perform metal finishing operations such as chemical plating, anodizing, chromate conversion, and related processes
Follow work instructions, travelers, blueprints and specifications (e.g., MIL-PRF, AMS, ASTM)
Mask and rack parts for processing
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Complete documentation and sign-offs accurately
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Qualifications:
Previous plating or metal finishing experience preferred
Ability to read and understand work instructions and technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Willingness to work overtime if needed
Must be dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team
