We are seeking Extrusion Laborers for a Irrigation Manufacturer in the city of Vista, CA!
The Extrusion Roller is responsible for rolling extruded tubing in a safe and efficient manner and assisting with other departmental duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Extrusion Roller is responsible for working with the extruded tubing in a safe manner to produce a quality product and reports to the extrusion Supervisor or Lead on all aspect of the business in conformance with the company's established policies and objectives.
Responsible for following prescribed procedures to roll extruded tubing to customer requirements.
Responsible for moving, positioning nip rollers, rewind shafts, and razor cut devices as required for proper operation.
May be required to operate extrusion equipment or monitor continued operations to maintain proper flow of raw and scrap plastics material and forming, cutting, and rewind operations.
Performs or assist in complicated setup, other machine or related equipment repair, some maintenance duties as required.
Detects and reports defective material, unusual conditions, or faulty equipment to department Lead or Supervisor.
Interfaces with all departments as required to produce high quality products.
Ensures the compliance of safety in the warehouse.
Other duties as assigned by department Lead or Supervisor.
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or up to one- year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience in a warehouse setting working with plastics and/ or extruded tubing.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Excellent attention to detail
Communicate clearly, Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred
Able to communicate well (written and verbal).
Lift up to 50 pounds
Forklift experience a plus
Foster a team spirit attitude
Required to lift weights (more than 25 pounds).
Finger dexterity required
Hand coordination required
WE CURRENTLY HAVE 1ST, 2ND AND 3RD SHIFT AVAILABLE- MONDAY- FRIDAY 5AM- 1:30PM, 1PM- 9:30PM OR 9PM- 5:30AM
