Small locally owned florist is seeking new team member to be on the road and in the shop!
This is an entry level position, and it has room for growth. While furthering your knowledge of the streets of San Diego, you will also learn basic floral design. We service accounts from Alpine, all the way to Encintas and down to Chula Vista. We are seeking a candidate that possess solid multi-tasking skills, a positive attitude and clean appearance. Some basic flower knowledge is prefered, but not necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering Flowers for Weddings, Daily Orders, Hospitals and Funerals
- Assist in creating bouquets, centerpieces, etc
- Make boutonnieres & corsages
- Help maintain cleanliness of the flower shop and cooler
- Customer service with both phones and walk-in clients
- Assist with stocking and organizing flowers, supplies and plants
- Unload floral deliveries and organize flowers in workroom or cooler to be processed
- Empty garbage and green waste cans
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License (Required)
- Floral design experience (Preferred)
- Ability to interact effectively, professionally, and courteously with customers and staff
- Ability to relate to people of all ages, diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities
- Comply with a flexible work schedule
- Personable and engaging
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and show initiative in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequent use of hands
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
