Carlsbad Family Law Firm seeks an experienced licensed family law paralegal to join our office. We are searching for someone who understands the complexities of family law cases to assist our growing firm. Our candidate must have a paralegal certificate, a minimum of 2 years of experience in family law and be able to work full or part time from our office in Carlsbad.
Required Skills and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Client Communication and Case Management
Preparing Letters and Emails to Clients and Opposing Counsel
Preparing Court Forms and Pleadings, such as financial disclosure documents, motions, Judgment packages, discovery, and other standard family law pleadings
Familiarization with all Family Law Forms and e-filing procedures
Coordinating Service of Process and Court Filings
File Maintenance and Organization
Propounding and Responding to Discovery
New Client Intakes and Scheduling Consultations
Calendaring Hearing Dates and Deadlines
Candidate should be professional, friendly, and detail oriented. Must be able to work well with clients from the inception of the case to the conclusion of their matter. Candidate should have a strong knowledge of court rules, family law procedures, financial disclosure requirements, and discovery procedures.
Candidate should also be able to track deadlines and tasks, be resourceful, be able to work independently and complete work at a fast pace. Additional skills include familiarity and ability to operate Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Legal Software Programs, Dissomaster, and Clio.
Candidate should also have excellent communication and writing skills.
