We are a family-owned construction and restoration company looking for a hard-working, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a water damage restoration technician. The responsibilities of the restoration technician include assessing damaged properties to see what can be saved, cleaning damaged properties, removing damaged materials, and sanitizing the restored homes. This would be a temporary position for a government job that is expected to last 6 - 8 weeks.
Responsibilities:
Working as part of a team to perform emergency services work while adhering to company policies and procedures regarding remediation
Adhere to safety and hazardous materials handling
Respond to jobs and initiate water mitigation and mold remediation according to IICRC and Company standards
Complete scope of work documentation and daily dry logs both manually and implemented software
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, clean equipment, and uniform appearance
Provide GREAT customer service to company clients
Move equipment and other items from the warehouse to the job site and back as needed
Assist with the inventory of site contents, setup of emergency services equipment, preparing contents for storage, and lifting items into storage
Follow applicable safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site-specific safety plans when performing cleanup activities and donning protective gear
Warehouse maintenance, stock supplies, building maintenance
Assist the lead technician in assessing damaged properties to see what can be saved.
Cleaning and storing damaged properties until they can be returned to the home.
Removing damaged materials, such as wallboards, lumber, and carpets.
Handling any issues caused by water damage, including drying out the area and removing mold.
Sanitizing structural features that can be salvaged.
Performing mold remediation procedures.
Performing demolition work as needed (demolishing or removing damaged plumbing, framing, drywall, and related materials)
Setting up and tearing down dry-out equipment.
Performing water extraction, carpet/floor drying and cleaning, mold and mildew remediation, and demolition and debris removal.
Cleaning and storing savable belongings and property.
Requirements:
Must pass background check, driver record request, and auto insurance verification (if applicable)
IICRC WRT certification preferred
IICRC AMRT certification preferred
Excellent working knowledge of hand and power tools.
Physical fitness (ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for long periods of time).
Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Physical labor within possible contained and confined spaces
Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Ability to learn and use designated software programs
Be available for emergency response work after hours and on weekends (if applicable)
Relevant construction and/or restoration experience, working on water damage/mold remediation jobs specifically
