Aguilar Plant Care is a specialty Plant and Tree Health Care service provider (PHC) that serves San Diego and most of Southern California.
APC is based out of San Marcos, CA and service anything from small residential, to large commercial and municipality sites.
Some of APC's services include plant and tree pest control, disease control and nutrient feeding.
APC is seeking to add to our team of highly skilled, knowledgeable professionals, that are dedicated to delivering the highest quality Plant Health Care services (PHC).
We are seeking entry level Plant Health Care technician who is an ambitious self-starter, that has a passion for serving our clients plant and tree care needs while following all safety work protocols.
The ideal candidate has a current Q.A.L or Q.A.C license, is teachable, trustworthy, enthusiastic, positive, and goal oriented to grow with our company for many years to come.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPECTATIONS:
- Experience working with or around plants, trees, or outdoor settings.
- Experience with pesticides, plants, trees, pest identification, pest control is a big plus.
- Must have a QAL (Qualified Applicator License) or QAC (Qualified Applicator Certificate)
- Have the ability to follow all safety rules at all times.
- Qualified candidates must have a minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must have a clean DMV report (Based off your 5 year report). No exceptions!
- Pass criminal background check and have clean drug test.
- Candidate must speak and write proper English. Spanish is not required but is a major plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Timely completion of initial training period for safety regulations, procedures and pest/tree identification.
- Implementing a wide range of treatments to plants, trees and turf in a safe and professional manner.
- Must be able to follow detailed instruction in relation to safety, labels, and treatment directions.
- Effectively operate, calibrate, and maintain all equipment and company vehicles.

SCHEDULE
The ideal applicant will have the availability and willingness to work:
- Outdoor elements (heat and cold) as well as work a wide range of early morning hours.
- Typical hours range from 6:00 am - 2:00 pm Monday through Friday.
- During peak season shifts may include late night (12:00 am) to early morning (6:00 am) work hours as well as weekends.
- Be willing and able to work overtime shifts.
