We are a El Cajon local small-family owned business looking for a motivated and reliable individual to help with transportation, setup, and takedown of event rental equipment like table, chairs, and more. Alongside another team member, the Delivery Assistant is responsible for the delivering and picking up rental equipment orders to clients in various routes in San Diego. This position is responsible for deliveries and pick ups, loading and unloading a variety of party rental equipment, and setting up and breaking down equipment at job-site locations as needed. Other duties entail ensuring all equipment is in working condition and presentable (weekly cleanings). Individual must conduct professionalism, respect, & safety to clients, guests, vendors, and company vehicle at all times.
Experience is helpful, but not required - we will provide training, but individual must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds, sit and stand for long periods of time, and ability to bend over frequently.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
-Loading and unloading of equipment to clients within San Diego (primarily East County)
-Event setup (tables, chairs, linen, decor, canopies, etc.)
-Weekly cleaning and maintenance of equipment
-Supporting the delivery crew on job sites
Requirements
-Must be 18 years or older
-Able to lift up to 50 pounds
-Great customer service
-Reliable and punctual
-Team player with a good attitude
-Hard working and good time management skills
-Able to work on your feet and outdoors
-Must be available to work on weekends
Schedule & Pay
-Type: Part-Time, 1099 Independent Contractor
-Schedule: Weekends, Occasional weekday evenings
-Hours vary weekly based on bookings
-Pay: $20 per hour (plus customer tips)
