My partner and I are hiring a housekeeper/laundry/cook for our home.
This position will be 10 hours per week across 2 days per week either Monday and Thursday or Sunday and Wednesday. We are looking for someone who LOVES to do laundry, cook, clean, and is very organized. We are eager to work with someone who truly likes caring for homes. Ideally, housekeeping is something that relaxes you.
Rates will be from $15-$25 an hour, commensurate on experience.
I want to describe each of the roles:
Laundry
We want someone who can help wash and fold laundry twice a week including changing the bedding 1x per week. The right candidate is good at folding, getting rid of stains, and putting clothes away. They are thoughtful about what can be dried and what cannot be dried. We have a nice, new, and fast washer and dryer which is a big plus.
Cook
We are both really busy and would love someone who loves to cook to make us meals for the week. We would like to have this person help us label the foods for each meal so it is easy to grab and go. We love food and we're looking for someone who particularly enjoys cooking for others. We both eat a whole food, plant based diet. A lot of legumes, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. We like to add herbs and spices to dishes. Someone who cooks good vegetarian meals is a plus.
- Example breakfasts include: Breakfast sandwich, Rice and Beans, Oatmeal with cinnamon and cloves.
- Example lunch include: vegetable stir fry with quinoa, lentil soup, big salad with nuts and avocado
- Example snacks include: Baked Yam, Sliced Apple, Sliced Kiwi, etc.
- Example dinners include: Daal, mushroom and eggplant, curry, vegetable stir fry, big salad, salmon and broccoli, etc.
Housekeeper
We want someone who can vacuum, wipe counters, do the dishes, dusting, taking out the trash, bathroom 1x per week, windows every two weeks, and own the dishwasher.
