Private Country Club has a Full-Time Golf Course Irrigation Specialist for an 18-hole golf course.
SUMMARY
The Irrigation Specialist II, under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, is responsible for the programming, operation, and maintenance of the golf course irrigation system(s). The Irrigation Specialist is required to report any irregularities in course turf quality to the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
Essentail Duties:
1. Serves as a representative of the Club, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other staff, management, members and guests.
2. Compliance with all Club Safety Regulations and participation in ongoing Safety Seminars.
3. Waters greens, tees, and fairways.
4. Operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water.
5. Repairs the irrigation system, pipes, and irrigation heads as needed.
6. Completes requests for irrigation and course parts and supplies.
7. Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod, and seeds greens, tees, and fairways.
8. Installs and maintain drainage systems on the golf course.
9. Operates dump trucks and other light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris.
Qualifications:
Equipment operator skills
1-2 years experience or relevant skill level
Hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Some weekends are required.
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
$20.00-$24.00 depending on experience
