San Diego premier stone countertop provider is seeking a full-time CAD programmer to join our team. The primary function of the CAD programmer is to produce professional accurate technical drawings and machine programs for countertop fabrication.
Job Description:
- Interpret field templates to create final machine/digital drawings.
- Download CAD (dwg, dxf) files into AlphaCAM to create digital drawings and machine programs.
- Manage and maintain files and other computer programs that provide all necessary data to support each project.
- Plan and schedule daily tasks devoted to the completion of design and drawings required to meet deadlines.
- Turn digital drawings into physical reality by programming through AlphaCAM and Slabsmith.
- Assist customers with stone layout.
Requirements: Skills, knowledge and abilities
- Basic mathematical skills and calculation ability are required.
- Must work well under pressure with changing deadlines and priorities
- Ability to multitask in fast paced work environment
- Must have the ability to work well with people on various levels.
- Minimum Auto CAD experience 1-2 years
- Candidate should be a quick learner and highly motivated
- Stone experience is a plus, but not required, will train the right person.
