We are currently hiring General Help / Ornamental Iron Worker / Project Manager, to assist us on a number of projects! Looking for candidates who are eager to advance their career in the Fire Protection industry! We are looking for employees who are responsible, reliable, assertive as well as friendly, professional, and able to provide exceptional work ethic. We can provide and/or will train the right candidates. All positions will require the ability to work on platforms up to 10 floors when needed. You must not be afraid of heights and wear the proper safety gear. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, climb, kneel when required. Working well with a team for the overall good of the company as well as the ability to accept constructive criticism from management and fellow employees is critical. Below are the description/requirements for the following positions:
General Help/ Painter-
-Some basic experience is required (load/ unload truck, prepping job site, cleanup etc)
-Experience working with basic power tool equipment and hand tools is a plus
-Preparing a job site for painting, as well as basic paint skills (scrape, prime, seal, paint) is a plus
-Assisting skilled workers with handling tools, supply gathering
-Material moving, storing, organizing
-Valid Driver’s License
-MUST have reliable transportation getting to and from job site(s) (Car/public transportation)
-Responsible, punctual, and trustworthy
-Willingness to work in a team environment and respecting co-workers
-Eagerness to learn and advance within company
-Bilingual strongly preferred but not required
Ornamental Iron Worker
-Experience with ornament/iron worker is required
-Ability to change bolts and structural understanding
-Problem solver, thinking on your feet
-Ability to work independently & with other team members
-Strong work ethic, hard worker, honest and reliable
-Not afraid of heights and or climbing ladders
-Report to project manager, fill in paperwork
-Oversee small team of no more than 3 members
-Valid Driver’s License
-MUST have reliable transportation getting to and from job site(s) (Car/public transportation)
Project Manager-
-Oversee project performance and identify areas for improvement.
-Recruit and manage relationships with contractors/vendors
-Understand project scope and proper planning for job execution
-Review/ request /submit Proposals and/or contracts.
-Work/fix issues, conflicts or missing items, develop, manage and maintain a detailed project schedule and workflow.
-Maintain a safe and clean work site.
-Coordination of deliveries, material staging and storage as well as troubleshooting issues with deliveries.
-Provide support to contractor/ vendor partners to maintain schedule, delivery, additional labor or small tasks when labor gaps arise.
-Keeping accurate daily logs and documenting the process with photos/videos is critical!
-Manage relationships with contractor, vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
-Schedule and attend required inspections. Immediately follow up and schedule corrections if required.
-Manage re-inspection, re-schedule follow up/last walk through inspection to minimize delays
