Job Description:
ASPM-San Diego, a full-service property management company, is seeking a full-time custodian to service our HOA properties, including condominiums and townhomes, throughout San Diego County.
What We’re Looking For:

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Clean and care for buildings and facilities in order to ensure they are maintained in a safe and healthy manner.
Main Activities:
Clean building common areas, meeting rooms, parking & garage areas and recreational facilities
Mop tile and concrete floor areas
Vacuum all carpeted areas
Dust all furniture and fixtures as required
Wash and disinfect all washroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, hand dryers, and fixtures
Clean all mirrors
Replenish toilet tissue, paper towels, and soap as needed
Empty all waste baskets and garbage cans
Place garbage in outside storage bin
Clean entrance and exit including glass, doors, hardware, and glass
Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs
Clean kitchen sinks and counters
Report damages and acts of vandalism
Spot clean walls and toilet partitions
2. Maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment, materials, and supplies in a safe and orderly manner in order to ensure the safety of staff and the public
Main Activities:
Secure storage areas
Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner
Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and supplies
Restock materials and supplies
Make note of the need for equipment repairs
3. Perform other related duties as required
Main Activities:
Ability to learn and properly operate floor cleaning machine
Report to a Maintenance Supervisor who is responsible for the direction of housekeeping services.
Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; empty and clean ash trays and cigarette urns; replace light bulbs and refill restroom dispensers
Assist with setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc
Move furniture. Equipment, supplies, and tools on an incidental basis
Ability to strip, clean, buff and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum, and shampoo carpets. Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers, and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc
Wash walls and equipment; use ladders properly and safely when required in work assignments
Lock and unlock assigned buildings: secure building when facilities are not in use checking for unlocked doors and windows, report any unauthorized occupants, turn off lights
Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing debris from sidewalks and stairs in areas within sixteen feet of buildings using hand-operated tools or small power equipment
Wash accessible interior and exterior windows. Clean blinds.
Have essential physical and mental capabilities in the following: Interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, follow directions, comprehension, reading, writing, speaking, and organizing
Attend to emergencies when necessary
Attend safety meetings and other related meetings
Take classes as required in cleaning methods and techniques, new products, First Aid, CRP, and working relationships
Handle recycling materials
Assist with inventory control
Safely operate all vehicles and other job related equipment
Support and enforce all policies such as OSHA

Transportation: Must have a vehicle.
Screening: Must pass a background check.
Licensing: Valid driver’s license with current insurance and registration.

Benefits:
Starting Pay: $17.25 (Depending on experience)
Mileage for transport while working.
