Hey Fallbrook and surrounding area,
I'm looking for a few good caregivers, who are also looking for a a quality caregiving job in a positive environment. A little over 15 years ago I suffered a snowboarding injury which unfortunately left me partially paralyzed from the neck down. I feel as though it gave me a new lease on life, and now I try to live it to the fullest! As a quadriplegic, I rely on my fellow human beings for many tasks and activities. That's where you come in! The job is not hard and I am a fairly positive individual. This previously mentioned new lease on life has fortunately kept the old life's motivation and zest for life! So if you're looking for your standard sit-down caregiver job or agency based repetition, then this isn't for you. I am not satisfied to sit and watch the world go by, nor interested in watching it on a screen. Working on my Masters in counseling. I like to keep bees when I have the space. I generally keep at least one salt water fish tank going in my house at any one time. I love to garden and I and really love to cook, so if you don't know how to cook already, you will learn vicariously through me, and I'm pretty good if I do say so myself. We got chickens, putting in a Koi pond, I have a wonderful sweetheart of a service dog named Nessa, who is my essential girl so you have to be comfortable with dogs. I need help with all of these things and that's where you come in. Looking to fill morning and evening shifts on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. in Fallbrook. Not a live in position,
tasks include
-assistance with morning routine(shower, shave, dress, getting in wheelchair, coffee, etc.)
-light housekeeping
-very light dog care
-cooking
-I have an accessible van for driving to appointments, errands, and various activities.
-assistance with chicken wrangling, gardening, fish tank upkeep, home upkeep, light dog care, having fun etc.
-assistance getting out of the chair at the end of the day.
You must have:
-a valid drivers license
-reliable transportation
-positive attitude
-Punctuality and reliability a must!
-willingness to learn and try new things
