Medication Technician

$24 to $27.50hr depending on experience.
Seeking a Medication Technician for long-term care facility. Under the supervision of our registered nurses, you will help administer medications to residents. You will review each patient's file, check their current prescriptions, prepare dosages, and assist patients with taking all their required medicines. We also expect our Medication Technicians to provide direct care to our residents and collaborate with other staff to ensure our patients receive the best care possible.
Responsibilities:
Review patient records and discuss current medications with staff nurses.
Prepare proper dosages and distribute medications to residents.
Document all medicines taken to ensure patient records are current.
Coordinate medication changes, refills, and deliveries with patient physicians and pharmacies.
Requirements:
6 months’ experience required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
