VMR Therapy is a mental health clinic that specializes in providing psychotherapy, crisis intervention, advocacy, mental health education and support groups to those impacted by trauma and abuse, including but not limited to domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, narcissistic abuse and PTSD.
VMR Therapy’s sister agency, Safe Solutions, is a court certified domestic violence and child abuse offender treatment program, approved by the San Diego County Probation Department and Child Welfare Services.
VMR Therapy’s Tac Talk program provides culturally competent clinical care and treatment to first responders (police and fire).
Job Duties & Responsibilities
· Provides psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families.
· Prepares Outpatient Authorization Requests [Medi-Cal] Initial Treatment Plans [CFWB], Treatment Plan Updates [CFWB], Progress Reports [criminal & family court and probation], Intake and Assessment Reports [domestic violence victim, domestic violence offender and child abuse offender groups], Quarterly Reports [criminal and CFWB] and discharge reports/summaries.
· Provides therapeutic crisis intervention and safety planning.
· Leads psychoeducational and process-oriented therapy groups.
· Maintains accurate and timely clinical records.
· Provide client case management as needed.
Qualifications
· Currently registered with the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences as a licensed clinician.
· Familiarity with current DSM 5 and diagnostic treatment and intervention.
· Bilingual Therapists and Licensed Supervisors (licensed 2+ years) highly desirable
