Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate, resourceful, and dependable caregiver to support an independent and creative young adult in achieving personal, social, and professional goals. This individual is vibrant, motivated, and looking to expand their independence, build meaningful friendships, and engage actively in the community. The caregiver will play a key role in fostering these goals in a supportive and respectful manner.

Responsibilities:

Provide transportation to and from classes, medical appointments, social activities, and other community engagements.

Help plan and participate in community outings, including social events, group meetups, and other recreational activities. A plus if you have an interest in recreational hiking and exercise.

Support the individual in maintaining a structured daily routine, promoting personal growth and well-being.

Facilitate social connections and provide guidance in navigating social situations.

Assist with grocery shopping, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized living space.

Maintain a safe environment by accommodating allergy and dietary requirements.

Communicate and collaborate with family members and other support team members as needed.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in caregiving, mentorship, or related roles is strongly preferred.

Understanding of neurodiversity and person-centered care, including familiarity with autism, anxiety, and other considerations.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Creativity and enthusiasm for supporting personal and professional growth.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a support network.

Schedule:

Full-time, 35-40 hours per week.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate $25 - $28 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
