We are looking for a dental assistant to join our multi-doctor team in our Escondido group practice. We are open 5.5 days per week, and we are primarily looking for an RDA who can work Tuesday through Saturday (Saturday is a shorter, 5-hour day). Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take dental x-rays
- Scan a patient's teeth and gums with a digital intra-oral scanner
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Manage patient records and update medical documentation
- Schedule patient appointments
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
Requirements
- X-Ray License
- Familiarity with Open Dental is a plus
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Dental assisting experience is preferred
- Prefer RDA license or dental assistants who are willing to pursue gaining an RDA license.
Compensation is dependent on credentials, skills, and experience.
Dental Assistant: $23-26
Registered Dental Assistant: $25-28+
