Community Facilitator for People with Intellectual Challenges in Independent Living Situations

We are looking for someone honest and reliable.
60-80 hours a month, depending on location and availability-Mon-Sat- East County/Chula Vista/East Lake
$20.50 per hour plus $2 for gas (fixed rate)
The qualified candidate can provide community-based instruction and coach a person with an intellectual disability in managing a healthy lifestyle, cooking, cleaning, keeping a budget, managing one's health, and any other skills needed for a person to live independently in the community.
Other qualifications include:
A belief that all adults have the right and ability to live in the community.
Needs to be committed to the agency's core values and mission so that they can be realized in the lives of the adults we support.
The ability to determine when to report an incident to management.
The belief that guiding a person to do a task teaches the person more than doing it for them.
Self-motivated and professional.
Ability to pass a background check.
California driver's license's proof of automobile insurance.
Reliable transportation.
Willingness to take a drug test
Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster, willingness to wear a mask when needed.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid CPR and First Aid training or willingness to pursue certification.
A willingness to pursue training and certification deemed necessary based on the needs of the individual(s) supported.
Training, support, and monitoring of the individuals supported in the community and home settings.
Completion of required paperwork, i.e., progress notes, timesheets, etc.
Develop and maintain a Google calendar online.
Implementation of the individual's schedule, attendance, and participation in meetings.
Attend and participate in in-service training.
Submit required verifications for employment.
