As a paletero you will be responsible for providing customers with welcoming and courteous service from the moment they walk into PopPops to the moment they leave. Your duties will consist of assisting customers with placing their order, handling food, handling money, and operating a Point-of-Sale system. The most important part of this position is that you must greet each customer as they walk through the door with a smile and ensure excellent customer service.
Requirements:
Experience: Prior restaurant, retail, or customer service experience is preferred, but not required.
Communication: You must have the ability to speak and read English, but other languages are a plus. You must have the ability to communicate effectively with customers and answer questions they may have about the products succinctly.
Competencies: Excellent customer service skills are a must. Experience working with a Point-of-Sale system is a plus, but not required.
Food Handler Card: You must have a food handler card prior to your first day at PopPops.
Job Details:
This job is part-time. Hours are flexible and may be anywhere from 10-25 hours per week.
Work attire consists of a PopPops branded t-shirt and or a PopPops apron (provided at your first shift). No slip shoes are also required.
Must enjoy working with people and in customer service role.
You will be responsible for answering phones.
You will assist with maintaining general store cleanliness, such as cleaning counter tops, restrooms, emptying trash bins, etc.
You will assist with register transactions and cash handling.
Knowledge of the menus and ingredients in each item is a must.
