Cardellino Restaurant is looking to hire a part time cook to join the back of house team. This is a great opportunity to grow and learn in one of San Diego's top kitchens. Our culinary program revolves around house made pasta, seasonal ingredients, and hearty steaks cooked over charcoal. Part time currently, but with potential to grow into full time eventually.
Line Cook
- A minimum of 1-2 years of fine dining or similar experience
- Current California Food Handler's card (within first 90 days)
- Weekend Nights are required
- Team player with a positive attitude, ready to learn and grow
- Ability to handle high volume business, communicate effectively and go above and
beyond to ensure our guests have the best experience possible.
- Engage in daily prep tasks
- Execute service in a clean and organized manner
- Follow food safety guidelines
- Cook and plate dishes according the the chefs instructions
- Properly clean and sanitize station at the end of shift
- Cook proteins and vegetables to proper doneness
- Notify Chef of any shortages or needs
- Engage in weekly deep cleaning routines
- Properly engage with and communicate with the rest of the staff
Job Type: Full-time
Rate: $18.00-$19.00/hr plus tips
