Position Summary:

The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality ingredients that support our Italian menu, including fresh pastas, sauces, vegetables, and meats. This role is vital to maintaining our kitchen’s efficiency and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

Wash, peel, chop, and portion ingredients according to recipes and station needs

Prepare stocks, sauces, and other base components for Italian dishes

Label and store food properly to maintain freshness and quality

Assist with preparing pasta, dough, and other specialty Italian items

Follow food safety standards, maintain cleanliness, and uphold sanitation guidelines

Support the line cooks by stocking their stations and prepping items in advance

Assist in receiving and storing deliveries

Perform other duties as assigned by the chef or kitchen manager

Qualifications:

Previous prep cook experience preferred, ideally in Italian or Mediterranean cuisine

Understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation practices

Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Position Title: Line Cook

Reports To: Kitchen Manager / Chef

Position Summary:

The Line Cook is responsible for executing dishes to order with consistency and quality, ensuring guests enjoy authentic Italian flavors and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and ingredients

Cook menu items according to recipes, including pasta dishes, pizzas, and classic Italian entrees

Ensure timing and plating standards are met for every dish

Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

Collaborate with other kitchen staff to keep service flowing smoothly

Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all health and safety requirements

Monitor food quality and alert the chef to any issues with product or inventory

Assist with prep and other duties as needed

Qualifications:

1+ years of line cook experience preferred, especially with Italian cuisine

Knowledge of proper cooking techniques for pastas, proteins, and sauces

Strong knife skills and station organization

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure

Good communication skills and a cooperative attitude

Food handler’s certification (or willingness to obtain)
