Harvest Kitchen, established in 2015, is a successful organic event catering company based in Vista is in need of a Part time Chef Captain. We cater weddings, film shoots, and corporate/social events all across SoCal at the most beautiful venues. We have a family-like dynamic as a team and have a fun/healthy work environment.
The Chef Captain leads the kitchen, execution and team.
Responsibilities:
Events are typically Saturday sometime 1pm to 11pm
Assist in loading (assist kitchen manager in loading event into vans)
Execute BOE/Job sheet and menu for plated family or sometimes buffet service
Lead team of event chefs, ensuring beautiful plating
Work directly with FOH Captain for flawless service
Skills:
A creative chef with an amazing palate, humble and willing to learn from others
A team player with a super positive, calm attitude, who can inspire and lead
Passionate about using organic, local, seasonal ingredients
Meticulous, and pay close attention to details
A great driver with a clean record, not afraid to drive a food truck.
Must have experience leading a team of servers and chefs
Must be located in North County, primary venue is in Vista

Hourly rate of $26/hr, tips are paid on a biweekly paycheck. Eligible for OT.
