Duties
Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications.
Ensure all meat products meet quality standards for freshness and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cutting area, adhering to food safety protocols.
Operate and maintain knives and other cutting tools safely and effectively.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill meat orders for food production.
Follow all sanitation guidelines and health regulations related to food handling.
Skills
Strong knowledge of food safety practices within the food industry.
Proficiency in meat cutting techniques and experience with various cuts of meat.
Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food preparation and production processes.
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and slicers.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
Strong communication skills for effective teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in a restaurant or food handling role is preferred but not required.
