JOB DESCRIPTION:
On behalf of Showa Ramen, we thank you for your interest in Kitchen chef position.
Our restaurant is part of Showa Hospitality group. This newly opening restaurant will offer a unique ramen experience to enjoy based on different flavors on one type of soup. It is located in UCSD campus. We are looking for energetic, service driven individuals with a passion for food, who want to create experiences that bring guests back.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Must have at least 2 years of kitchen chef experience, preferably with Ramen
- Strong understanding of execution and food quality
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety procedures, food Safety and sanitation practices
- Strong knowledge of food cost management
- Ability to lead, train and develop all members of staff
- Sense of Urgency
- Be a motivated self-starter and able to work cleanly, efficiently, with respect for quality ingredients and careful attention to preparation.
- Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, and ensure smooth service operations and quality service
