We are hiring a head barista! Our busy cafe needs a seasoned barista! The perfect candidate would be someone with a minimum of 2 years as a barista and coffee shop experience, self-motivated. This position allows for a lot of creativity in the beverage area along with social media aspects. Also, someone who loves to evolve and grow a business with a hands-on approach. Creating systems that help overall efficiency in collaboration with the GM and Chef. Bring your background and vision to push the business to the next level.
We have an excellent reputation for top-quality food and beverages. Customer experience is the MOST IMPORTANT part of the job must be excellent with people and customer service. This is a sales job wrapped in a barista and more importantly a people-person job. The way people feel when they are treated warmly with a smile, their drink is remembered, and "if you are hungry later our lunch special is." Is an example of the warm feeling that keeps them coming back, remembering the order they love, and the sales part to bring them back with something new later in the day.
Pay: This position pays $19/hr plus tips. Tips are split between both staff members (2) based on hours worked. All tips are pooled amongst the hourly staff, the tips are added to the paychecks and amount to increasing the hourly to around $23-25.5/hr. This position will be full-time with 40 hours a week Monday through Friday closed Saturdays and Sundays. In time is typically 6:30 am-3 pm.
Duties include setting up and opening the coffee shop, improving daily operations and sales focus, executing the menu items as instructed with the opportunity to have creative specials added to the daily special menu, being responsible, punctual, and trustworthy, and Keeping barista station clean and up to the standard of the manager and health department. Must have a food handler certificate(takes about 30 minutes online).
