Hiring FOH & BOH Positions for Crab Hut Downtown

Crab Hut is a family-owned Louisiana Seafood restaurant serving up flavorful seafood boils and other Southern & Cajun-inspired dishes alongside a full bar with craft cocktails, beer, and wine. We're looking for a few experienced individuals to join our Downtown team.

COOK (Full-Time)

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh

- Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients

- Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods

- Present, garnish and arrange final dishes

- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes

- Handle and store ingredients and food

- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards

- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils

- Execute opening and closing procedures

- Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment

- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients

- Monitor station inventory levels

- Accommodate guests’ special requests

- Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers

Experience & Requirements:

- Must have at least 1 year experience cooking in a fast-paced restaurant establishment.

- Available evenings (12pm-10pm)

- Team player who works well under pressure.

SERVER (Part-Time)

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Greeting guests, providing friendly, professional and efficient service, learning all aspects of our food and beverage offerings, offering specials, take orders and delivering food and beverages, cleaning, sanitizing, occasionally making house cocktails for guests during hours where a bartender is not present, side work, team work of all varieties, reporting thoroughly to management, being responsible for cash and credit payments, etc.

Experience & Requirements:

- Must be 21+ to pour alcoholic beverages

- Must have at least 1 year experience serving in a fast-paced restaurant establishment.

- Available evenings (12pm-10pm)

- Team player who works well under pressure.

BARTENDER (Part-Time)

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Greeting guests, providing friendly, professional and efficient service, learning all aspects of our food and beverage offerings, offering specials, take orders and delivering food and beverages, cleaning, sanitizing, side work, team work of all varieties, reporting thoroughly to management, being responsible for cash and credit payments, etc. Measuring, pouring, and preparing

- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons

- Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks

- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations

- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails

- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age

- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies

- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience

- Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Experience & Requirements:

- Must be 21+ to serve alcoholic beverages

- Must have at least 2 year experience bartending in a fast-paced restaurant establishment.

- Available evenings (12pm-10pm)

- Currently has or is able to pass a Responsible Beverage Service certification prior to starting job training.

- Team player who works well under pressure.

HOST (Part-Time)

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Greeting & seating guests, creating a great positive impression of the restaurant, answering guest questions and concerns, answering the phone, providing friendly and professional service at all times, taking and packing to-go orders, managing server sections and being aware of the flow of service, maintaining continuous clear communication with all staff and management throughout shifts, completing assigned sidework, helping to bus tables, and processing payment transations.

Experience & Requirements:

- Restaurant hosting experience preferred.

- Available evenings (3pm-10pm)

- Currently has or is able to pass a Responsible Beverage Service certification prior to starting job training.

- Team player who works well under pressure.
